Statue of Ronald Reagan being unveiled in London

Statue of former US President Ronald Reagan will be unveiled in central London at a ceremony outside the American embassy.

The 10-foot bronze statue was specially commissioned to "recognise Mr Reagan's contribution to ending the Cold War", on the one hundredth anniversary of Reagan's birth.

But are there any other global figures, past or present, who deserve the same accolade?

Condoleezza Rice, who served in former President George W. Bush's administration, is expected to attend Monday's ceremony along with British Foreign Secretary William Hague.
Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Reagan's close ally, was invited but it was uncertain if her frail health would permit her to be there.
The statue was commissioned by the Reagan Memorial Fund Trust. It joins images of former presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower in
