Casey Anthony flew back home

Anthony was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, and declared not guilty of manslaughter and aggravated child abuse as well.

Only convicted of four counts of lying to law enforcement, which her legal team is looking to appeal, Anthony was released on Sunday due to time already served and time gained based on good behavior.

When Rivera asked Baez, who personally escorted Anthony out of the Orange County Jail on Sunday, if he heard the angry crowd shouting “Killer, killer” as Anthony walked free, the attorney responded that he did not.

“I certainly heard a large group of people yelling things but I certainly couldn’t make out what was being said at the time. We got in the car and left.”

Discussing his client’s release from jail and his thoughts on the public outrage, Baez shared his frustrations with the growing and continual outcry from the media and majority of the public.

Preliminary reports show the woman ran from a Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprop passenger craft owned by Todd Macaluso, a former member of Casey Anthony’s defense team.

When attorney Jose Baez was asked if Anthony had returned to Orlando, he told the Orlando Sentinel in a text message: "Not true. Macaluso having fun."

The woman possibly left the airport in a red SUV.

Macaluso’s plane has flown to several places in the last 24 hours, according to the website FlightAware.com.

The craft left John Wayne Airport in California and headed to Baton Rouge on Monday evening. It left Louisiana Tuesday morning for St. George Island off Florida’s Gulf coast.

At some point Tuesday afternoon, the pilot filed a flight plan mid-flight that announced the plane was headed for Orlando Executive Airport.

Case Anthony doesn't take the stand as defense rests

Judge in the Casey Anthony capital murder trial expects testimony to conclude Friday, saying the case could be in the hands of the jury by the weekend.

Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. told the courtroom that rebuttal witnesses will likely conclude Friday and closing arguments will be held Saturday morning, with jury instructions to follow and deliberations likely to begin by that afternoon.

Anthony's defense rested Thursday in her capital murder trial without calling her to testify, ending weeks of speculation about whether she would take the stand in her own defense.

Perry questioned Anthony to ensure the decision not to take the stand was hers. She answered, "Yes, sir," or "yes" to his questions.

Casey Anthony, 25, is charged with seven counts, including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and misleading police, in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against her. She has pleaded not guilty.

Anthony's defense team is trying to discredit the prosecution theory that the Orlando woman rendered Caylee unconscious with chloroform, duct-taped her mouth and nose, and stored the child's body in her car trunk for a few days before dumping it in the woods.

Also recalled George Anthony to ask if he had supplied duct tape he used to put up posters of his granddaughter when she was missing. He said he couldn't remember. Lead defense attorney Jose Baez also asked him if he buried his pets after their deaths in plastic bags wrapped with duct tape. Anthony said he had on some occasions. Prosecutors have contended Caylee's body was disposed of in a similar manner. Under prosecution questioning, he said he had never thrown their carcasses in a swamp.

Caylee was last seen in mid-June 2008. For the next month, Casey Anthony avoided her parents, telling her mother and her friends that Caylee was with a baby sitter named Zanny.

Casey's parents soon got a notice that their daughter's car had been towed. George Anthony and the tow lot operator both said the Pontiac Sunfire smelled like death.

Prosecutors played a tape of a frantic 911 call made by Anthony's mother, Cindy, reporting her granddaughter missing. She tells the operator, "It smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."

Casey Anthony then told detectives that Caylee had been kidnapped by the nanny, and a massive search was launched. Over the next several weeks, hundreds of volunteers scoured central Florida for any clues to Caylee's whereabouts. Meanwhile, numerous photos surfaced of Casey Anthony drinking; some of them allegedly taken in the month after Caylee disappeared.

Caylee's skeletal remains were reported in December 2008 by a municipal meter reader. A key part of the defense case was trying to discredit the meter reader, Roy Kronk, saying that he had actually discovered the body in August.

Casey Marie Anthony (born March 19, 1986), Caylee's mother, has been charged with the first degree murder of her daughter.

She was first arrested on July 16, 2008, for giving false statements, neglect of a child, and obstruction of a criminal investigation with a request that she be held on a no bond status until Caylee Anthony was located.

On August 21, 2008, Casey Anthony was released after one month of incarceration. She was released from the Orange County jail after her $500,200 bond was posted by California bail bondsman Leonard Padilla.

She was arrested again on August 29, 2008, on charges of forgery, fraudulent use of personal information, and petty theft for forging $700 worth of checks and using her friend's credit cards without permission. Leonard Padilla subsequently rescinded the $500,200 in bail due to a lack of cooperation from Casey Anthony.

On September 5, 2008, Casey Anthony was released again on bail after being fitted with an electronic tracking device. Her $500,000 bond was posted anonymously, and it was later revealed that her parents, Cindy and George Anthony, signed a promissory note for the bond.

On October 14, 2008, Casey Anthony was indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree murder and was arrested for the fourth time. She is currently in the Orange County Jail awaiting her expected May 16, 2011, trial date, jury selection will start on May 9, 2011, in an undisclosed location. The Florida state attorney's office in April 2009 announced that it intended to seek the death penalty.

The case is detailed in a 2009 book by true crime author and novelist Diane Fanning titled Mommy's Little Girl] According to a jail source she spends her days reading the Bible and writing letters. She is housed in a 12 X 7 cell in the Protective Custody wing of the Orange County jail, only emerging to take a shower and exercise. She has weekly meetings with her lawyers and apparently has had no visitors since 2008.The Florida law is that all inmates visits and phone calls are videotaped and is public record.
