In an example of life imitating art, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have tied the knot.
The couple play husband and wife in the upcoming thriller "Dream House."
Weisz's publicist confirmed the wedding Sunday, but offered no other details other than to say it took place "recently."
Weisz, 41, announced her split from partner of nine years Darren Aronofsky in November.
At the time, she and 43-year-old James Bond actor Craig -- who reportedly parted ways with girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell -- denied they were an item.
The pair began dating while filming the movie, "Dream House"; in the same months rumors about their relationship began, Weisz split from director Darren Aronofsky after nine years and a child together. The ceremony was a small, private affair, with only four guests: Weisz's four year old son, Henry; Craig's 18-year old daughter, Ella; and two friends as witnesses.
"Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding. They are madly in love and couldn't wait to be husband and wife - but they wanted minimum fuss," a source told The News of the World.
A country getaway vacation in December, riddled with paparazzi accounts and photos, revealed that they were indeed a couple.
"Daniel and Rachel looked like a romantic couple in a film. They were laughing and hanging on to each other's words and stopping to take photos of each other," one witness said of their very public pub canoodling during the getaway. Added another: "They were clinging to each other like honeymooners. The chemistry was obvious.
The union, first reported by the Daily Mail, comes as a bit of a surprise -- the two barely went public last year when pictures surfaced of them enjoying the holidays together in the United Kingdom. A Weisz rep confirmed the nuptials to People on Saturday.
Weisz, 41, split last year from "Black Swan" director Darren Aronofsky, her fiance of five years and the father of her child. Craig, 43, and first wife Fiona Loudon, an actress, divorced in 1994.
The newlyweds will play a married couple in "Dream House," due out in September.
