While out on a morning beach walk, with our camera of course, we made it down to the blocked off portion of the beach down by Castles Surf Break. Things looked pretty dull and we guessed the President and the rest of the Obamas were not in the Obama Beach Rental. More pictures below.
However, shortly after a Zodiac boat filled with most likely a mix of Navy Seals and Secret service came out of the nearby channel a Kayaker decided to foolishly try and, as it appeared, head for the channel. Normally a nice paddle but completely off limits while President Barack Obama is in town.
The Zodiac fired up and was there in a second! The Kayaker, no obvious threat, turned around promptly and headed back down the beach, on the outside of the restricted area designated by large yellow buoys.
This was nothing near the close call of the driver who ran the roadblock near Obama’s House. This didn’t really event cause a stir on the beach.
