CHANDIGARH: According to sources, the request includes parking space for bigger planes like A320 having capacity of more than 100 passengers to smaller private planes. Besides these charter flights, 11 regular commercial flights would also be operating from the Chandigarh airport on Wednesday.

The AAI has not said yes to anyone because of non-availability of parking space at the local airport.

The technical airport area, which is under the command and control of Indian Air Force, has enough space to park the aircrafts, but authorities concerned are not willing to share the space because of the arrival of prime ministers of India and Pakistan.
